I will check that. I doubt that is the case, because sometimes sending works, sometimes not. I assume if the login is incorrect, then he would not be able to send emails at all, right?

Yeah, I am aware I could do this with quotas (see my reply to Darth). Enabling quotas seem unnecessary complication for something I easily do with LVM logical volumes...

All you say is OK. Problem is that I want to limit (group of) users to specific amount of data on the subvolume without messing with quotas, etc. - At the moment I just give them access to a LVM logical volume, and all works well. Maybe I am thinking about using a wrong BTRFS feature as I am not a BTRFS expert... I will rephrase the question and remove "subvolume" from it.
