i called the customer care of D-link, but they are more lame than I am.. :P. Says the router by default supports g/n dual mode. If that's the case, then why am I not able to connect!!!

the reason why when you do a online transaction and see a verisign sign on the address-bar and suppose that the transaction is going to be safe is precisely because of this trust. I bet you will not do the transaction if say, I was the one responsible for ensuring that yes, they website actually belongs to the bank. and there are legal statutes which makes the CA responsible for wrong authentication.

since you have already tried a lot of things, try to delete that file using some other OS (a linux live cd, if you wish). I don't know it will work or not, but give it a try.

well, I have a dual boot PC with Win7 and Ubuntu, and deleted hiberfil.sys with ubuntu. from that onwards i don;t have hibernate option on Win7.

you won't reach exit, since you are recusing on the same script on and on....before calling ./test.sh you should probably invoke cp utility and make a copy of the file(since that's ur aim. But even then, you won't reach exit!! You should have a terminating criterion, probably an if..fi statement.
