Is FTP (Foil Shielded Twisted Pairs) Cat 6 cable suitable for outdoor use?

I am going to pass the cable from a window via the roof back inside via another window.

Do I need to take special care for thunder/lightning protection?

I changed “FTP oil” to “FTP (Foil Shielded Twisted Pairs)” because I assume that is what you meant. Unless there are oil filled Ethernet cables out there I am not aware of. – JakeGould Dec 28 '15 at 17:43
