I'm having issues with a surface-pro-4 and the Touch pen Functionality.

When i click the Pen once it opens OneNote Metro app. But i want desktop version to open instead.

to resolve this i went into the "Surafce" app and changed this to the 2013 desktop version. nice and easy.

But the double tap feature of the Pen should take a screenshot and open OneNote with the screenshot Pasted into Onenote.

however when i do this, the metro version opens again instead of the desktop version.

Does anyone know how i can either get the Desktop version to open or how to remove the Built in Metro app.

I've already tried the Powershell

*Get-AppxPackage *onenote* | Remove-AppxPackage*

Another forum told me to try

Get-AppxPackage -name "Microsoft.Office.OneNote" | Remove-AppxPackage

but I'm skeptical about that one as it may remove the office/Desktop verison

  • You cant right click and Uninstall.
  • Its not listed in Appwiz.cpl (Programs and Features)
  • Its not installed as a Feature either.
  • I've Run Windows updates.
  • I've Automatically Checked for drivers in Devmgmt.msc

Can Anyone help?

  • Possible duplicate of configuring button on touch pro's stylus to open onenote 2016 – Ramhound Apr 14 '16 at 15:55
  • No, not the same issue, well, i had the same issue with a single click of the eraser button. i programmed the stylus for single click which is resolved. My problem comes when i go to Doubletap the eraser button on the stylus it bring up metro version of onenote instead of desktop version. – Daniel Jul 7 '16 at 13:43
  • It is not possible for the command your asking about to uninstall a Win32 application like OneNote 2013. – Ramhound Jul 7 '16 at 16:45
