I have a Macbook using Safari as browser, I have never used Google Chrome or had a Gmail account.

My ex-wife is getting my browser history on her laptop (Mac Pro) Google Chrome browsing history. I don't think she has ever used my laptop when we were together so I don't understand why there is a connection.

I have deleted cookies history etc. but I don't know if she can still see my history so I've resorted to always using private browsing on my laptop which is frustrating.

Is there any way I can remove my device from her account?

  • Could you be logged in with the same icloud account? – alm Jun 11 '16 at 8:08
  • I set up a new Apple ID/icloud account for my laptop although I still use our iCloud account for iTunes and email – Tim Jun 11 '16 at 8:36
  • Yep, sounds like she's logged in as you in something that's linked. No more porn for you :( Or she's a really good super user and made a hack and she's like, "Hmm I dunno honey?". – ejbytes Jun 11 '16 at 11:26
  • It's weird. What you said likes the History of your Safari is synced with another Chrome. For my experience, there is no way to automatically finish such syn, but for the Bookmarks, there are a lot of ways to do it. Anyway, one can check his/er iCould or Google setting to inactivate some devices which was connected before. – Zoe Rowa Nov 8 '17 at 11:25

I think this might be the culprit:
How to Sync Your Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer Bookmarks with Safari

It's iCloud bookmarks.
