I have many, many, many bluetooth usb dongles. I'm running win7 on two machines, it seems like every time I have to install one it never connects to peripheral devices. On my PC at home I can't make the dongle discoverable from other devices. I found what I thought was the driver (cambridge radio).

Is there a way to plug in a bluetooth dongle and have it work? If I have X dongle (don't you love that word?) how do I find the drivers for it?

Is there a process I can follow to get the right driver and make sure it's being installed correctly? I'm about ready to break machines. How do you manage these things without it being an hour long troubleshooting session?

  • It should be as simply, plugging in the Bluetooth receiver and installing the driver, and connecting the Bluetooth device to your pc – Ramhound Jan 13 '17 at 5:16
  • I've never had an experience like that with bluetooth on a PC. – laptop2d Jan 13 '17 at 5:21
