I was trying to reset bash to resolve the issue unable to resolve host thinking reinstalling linux subsys would help. I intentionally deleted the other 'user' folder. Now I've reinstalled bash many time from command prompt (admin) but it's still stuck in root.Is there any other way for complete fresh install of bash on windows ?

  • Try backing up your stuff and re-install Windows Subsystem for Linux. – iBug Mar 1 '17 at 11:32
  • I've done that many times. Recently I did a reset on windows (keeping all the files), then again I did a fresh install, but the issue remains the same. – Atmadeep Arya Mar 25 '17 at 11:53
