I am having a problems with margins in a Word document. I have got 3 sections, one being title page, second being couple pages long and third the longest being the rest of the document.
I need the third section to have mirrored margins for double sided print whereas first and second being normal with wider left margin for binding.

Right now I have mirrored margins for the whole document. When I try and go to 'Page Setup' and choose the margin I like for second section, choose "Apply to: this section" it does indeed change margins in this section as well as ruining margins in third section.
The third section ends up with wider left margin with every page looking the same as if the mirrored part was somehow unchecked. This happens no matter what settings I choose for the second section.

  • Treat the margin settings as applying from that point forward: you don't need special settings for second section, because it should be same as the first. You do need to set settings for third section, because it should be different from the one before it. – Ben Voigt Aug 7 '17 at 17:10
