I had a friend delete all their bookmarks on one computer not realizing that Google Sync would delete them on ALL computers. To make matters worse, she didn't tell me right away, so recovering via the bookmarks.bak file is not possible. (And these files were not backed up either.)

Is there ANY way to revert the google cloud Chrome sync to an older version of the bookmarks it had cloud stored, or to use Google Chrome Sync feature to get back a previous set of bookmarks? Right now that's looking like the only way to get the bookmarks back.

  • I would look into drive.google.com and see if they're there. If so, you can get an older version. If not, then I don't know. – LPChip Sep 12 '17 at 22:51
  • Nope, but thanks for the thought. – Sindyr Sep 12 '17 at 22:55
