I would need to run these commands at startup :

xmodmap -e "keycode 135 = backslash slash"

xmodmap -e "keycode 48 = leftbrace colon"

xmodmap -e "keycode 51 = rightbrace exclam"

Tryed few methods but they didnt work, what is the right way to achieve this in Lubuntu?

  • Enumerating the methods you tried already, might save us time suggesting something that might be broken in your environment. Since it's Lubuntu, you're probably using LXDE desktop environment. Try this: askubuntu.com/a/391212/593050 that would be the best place to put script with these commands. – Marek Rost Sep 16 '17 at 9:23
  • In Ubuntu you should be able to just create a script in /etc/rc.local (I think that's the path...) And put your commands in that script so when you log in, it runs the script. – xR34P3Rx Sep 16 '17 at 19:47
