I have a computer running Windows 10 Pro. The computer was in the past part of an Azure AD. I recently left the AD and now only have a local administrator account on the machine.

When I try to open a specific application, I get the message "This app has been blocked by your systems administrator".

Why is this occurring when I've left the Azure AD? Do I have to manually disable this somewhere through the local administrator account?

  • Without knowing what the app is, and if it was supplied by Azure AD, we can only guess as to why it might be blocked. – Michael Frank Oct 12 '17 at 3:02

Could be AppLocker, go to Gpedit.msc, Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Options, Application Control Policies, AppLocker. If you find any applied policy, just delete it and try opening the app again. – Wayne Yang - MSFT Oct 13 '17 at 5:50
