I got a great answer to a maths question on the maths SO. However, for the life of me, I cannot think how to make use of it in any practical way.

I have a spreadsheet with the values of k and n in columns and N in a row. What I want to do is fill the spaces these labels cover with the results.

For n=1, I was able to use 1-(((6-(7-$B4))/6)^(C$2)) which I had before I asked the question. The first cell gives a value of 0.995370. That's my benchmark. It is also how I know that BINOMDIST(($A4-1),C$2,1-((7-$B4)/6),1) is way off because it only comes out as 0.578704.

I have come to the conclusion that I just do not understand the maths enough to do anything useful with it. How do I enter that formula as a spreadsheet function? What do I even do with it?
