My colleagues send "Out of Office" messages as meeting invites so it's present in everyone's calendar as a reminder. We do this by setting the Show As to "Free" so it doesn't block their calendar. But occasionally, someone misses to set this field and it defaults to "Busy" and blocks the recipients calendar for the entire day or the duration of the sender's vacation.
So the way I avoid this currently is: first, accept that meeting invite so it's saved in my calendar. Then I go to the Calendar tab, open that event, and verify that it is set as Free and not Busy. And change it to Free if it wasn't set.
This is cumbersome, but I don't see an option to view this in the meeting invite itself. Is there any way to see this in the meeting invite itself before I even accept it?
