I have a scheduled task that requires password change every time password if changed for me. I tried to use a group ( to which some people are a member of including me ) to run the script and it did not ask for password while configuring scheduled task but the option "Run whether user is logged on or not" was grayed out.

I just want to avoid changing password every time for the scheduled task when my password changes. I tried to use the account SYSTEM as well but it does not work when I tried to run the scheduled task manually with SYSTEM account ( seems to display running and then when i refresh it displays ready )

The task that is running is a script the grabs printer-details from multiple servers into an excel file and it takes about 25 minutes to complete.

  • So make a dummy user for the task and don't ever change the password? – psusi Mar 15 '18 at 16:27
