I've got a complicated network setup that involves multiple VLANS and subnets. The chromecast device is on a separate range to the laptops, however the two networks can communicate with each other with no problems.

Chromecast IP: 192.168.50.5
Laptop: 10.220.220.15

I have read multiple forums regarding the mDns functionality of the Chromecast and that I will need to enable Multicast Routing across my subnets on the Router, however, I just want to check before I start altering the configuration of this.

Is there seriously no way to specify a specific IP Address to cast to?
It seems bizzarre that google wouldn't include this as a fall back, or for developers!

Any help is appreciated massively!
