I have a user who wants to flag emails by rule for when he is in the TO, but not the first person in the TO. Outlook 365/2016

Is this possible?

  • I believe it's possible. Remember, you can write macros from Outlook just like you can for Excel. You could assume that since the only emails he receives are addressed to him, you don't need to check at all for the first criteria ("sent to him") but run a macro on every message that comes in looking for messages where he's not the first address listed. Check through here for more basic information about automating Outlook with macros: msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vba/outlook-vba/articles/… – music2myear Apr 27 '18 at 21:45
  • FWIK, we can use rule to flag emails when you are in the To box, but it is not feasible to filter out those you are not the first recipient in the To box via the built-in options. – Yuki Sun Apr 30 '18 at 9:16
