In google chrome, you can type in the following URL chrome://version/ to display various information, including how the browser was launched. For example, this is what I see:

User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36

Command Line "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --profile-directory="Profile 1" --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end

Executable Path C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

Profile Path C:\env\Chrome Profiles\Profile 1

Is there something similar to firefox? They have many command-line options

  • You can always check the command-line parameters by listing the process in your task manager. – dsstorefile1 May 4 '18 at 20:33
