I'm trying to install wkhtmltopdf on my Mac using homebrew, but brew install wkhtmlpdf doesn't work. Then I see this answer, it says:

You can install wkhtmltopdf with homebrew-cask

brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask
brew cask install wkhtmltopdf

Note: This cask appears to mess up the permissions in your /usr/local directory. Change the owner of /usr/local and subdirectories to yourself after installing:

chown -R your_user_name:admin /usr/local

I ran brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask and it works but now I am worried about a few things:

1) Is brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask equal to brew cask install wkhtmltopdf?

2) The above answer says this cask will mess up /usr/local directory's permission. How do I verify that it indeed mess up my permission? Is this still happening or has it been fixed? I can generate PDF successfully in my application for now, but I don't want to have unknown problem occurring out of nowhere in future.
