Has anyone been able to get React to work on the Orange Pi Zero H2 Plus ARMBIAN_.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.14.18-sunxi any help or guidance on this would be much appriciated.

I have a working React app runing on a Orange Pi Zero H2 processor. They came out with a new version of this processor called: Orange Pi Zero H2 Plus so I had to load up a new kernel to get it working properly but now I am unable to get React to run. copying over the working project to the new processor and starting it with either npm or yarn errors with the same results:

from scratch I installed create-react-app but could not get "sudo create-react-app xxx" to run to completion without hanging. I installed yarn and was finally able to get it to run to completion although it showed that is was having networking issues but none the less it completed the install. When I do a yarn start on this demo project that it creates, it hangs the processor. From what I can see it looks like it runs out of memory but I know memory should not be an issue as it runs fine on my older version of the Orange Pi Zero with same amount of memory.

this is my system before launching React: Welcome to ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.14.18-sunxi System load: 0.01 0.02 0.00 Up time: 3:53 hours Memory usage: 20 % of 240MB IP: CPU temp: 38°C Usage of /: 36% of 7.0G

  • Problem resolved , I was using 256M Modules rather than 512M modules. I was running out of memory. – Dave Murphy Jul 10 '18 at 23:12
