So I have a Live USB that I made ( meaning the USB itself is the running OS), and I just used DD to copy the entire drive; essentially Mirror it to the new Formatted Empty USB. I am wondering why the New USB is Remarkably slower in terms of loading things and performing operations. is there a certain specification I need to Add when DD'ing the drive? I simply issued the following:

          dev if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sde

and ran the operation. It worked, and the USB is bootable and loads OS, however it is just very slow compared to its brother. I guess USB type is something to be considered here, as well as USB brand performance benchmarks? Any help would be appreciated, and the question is research driven. Thanks so much!
