This question already has an answer here:
Bought a new laptop and it came with Windows 10 S mode, which is a huge pain in the ass that won't let you install anything unless it comes from the Windows Store.
Every Google result says you can disable it by searching the store for "Switch Out of S Mode" and following the banner, but no such banner is appearing and I'm worried I've wasted my money on a machine that's not fit for purpose.
Does anyone know an alternative way to get out of Windows 10 S mode?
