The Add New Printer feature of Windows 10 is not working. I've tried all of the following:

  • Control Panel > Devices and Printers, then Add a printer. Nothing happens.

  • Run a Command Prompt with Administrator rights and type this command rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /il.

  • Windows Settings app > Devices > Printers & scanners, then Add a printer or scanner. Windows Settings immediately closes and nothing else happens.

For all of the above, if you watch closely, the cursor very briefly changes to the Waiting cursor, but then quickly returns to the standard cursor.

What might be stopping this? The Print Spooler service is set to Automatic and is running.
