I have a multi-boot system set up (Windows 10 and Ubuntu).

The Windows 10 partition is encrypted with VeraCrypt and I can only boot via the VeraCrypt Bootloader.

Now I want to create a disk image of the decrypted Windows partition. I'm planning on booting a live Linux, decrypt the partition with VeraCrypt and then create a disk image with a tool like Clonezilla.

Theoretically, the backup image is unecrypted and can only be restored via a live Linux, where I decrypt the Windows partition again.

Does anyone have experience with such a setup? Could that process theoretically work as intended?
