I am running win10 64bit.

Using a downloader app from a batch file. Default behaviour for this app is that it downloads to the directory it was called from.

It is being called from D:\try

But everything it downloads it puts in C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

I've googled and learned that's something to do with 32 bit apps running on a 64 bit OS. But I haven't learned how to over-ride that default destination.

  • What app is it?, no way we can answer this without more information. – Moab Jan 11 at 23:04
  • If you disable Windows on Windows 64, you would make it impossible for a 32-bit application, to function properly within the operating system. However, the application behavior you describe, isn’t actually connected to WOW64. – Ramhound Jan 11 at 23:09
