A CLOUDSQL instance was deleted from our project but the backups are still in the Cloud. These are automated backups and not accessible through Cloud Storage.

I have done the following based on this link: https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/mysql/backup-recovery/restoring#

obtain a list of backups for the deleted instance. ALL say SUCCESSFUL

Performed the following: cloudshell:~ (devel)$ gcloud sql backups restore 1000000000000 --restore-instance=sql-devel All current data on the instance will be lost when the backup is restored. Do you want to continue (Y/n)? y ERROR: (gcloud.sql.backups.restore) HTTPError 400: This operation isn"t valid for this instance. cloudshell:~ (devel)$

Tried the following by moving it to a different target but that failed as well. gcloud sql backups restore [BACKUP_ID] --restore-instance=[TARGET_INSTANCE_NAME] \ --backup-instance=[SOURCE_INSTANCE_NAME]

Is there another way retrieve the backup file move it into to storage then restore it?
