I'm trying do a sync from a Centos webserver to a Synology box (office), passwordless.

I setup paswordless ssh. When I try ssh backup@office.local from webserver, I log in to office.

At office I have a folder /volume/Backup. It is owned by user backup, as are all subfolders. Permissions are set to 0777.

When trying

rsync -vah --stats -e ssh /home/backup backup@office:/volume1/Backup

I get

 Permission denied, please try again.
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(600) [sender=3.0.6]

When trying

scp test.file backup@office:/volume1/Backup

It just works fine. Am looking at it for an hour but can't find why it works. Any ideas?
