I'm trying to connect to VM in Google cloud. As long as I'm not configuring a special firewall rule I am able to connect to my VM, but, when I configured a firewall rule to allow access only to my office IP + internal network, I'm getting a timeout.

My firewall rule configuration:

default-allow-ssh
Description
Allow SSH from anywhere
Logs
Off
view
Network
default
Priority
65534
Direction
Ingress
Action on match
Allow
Targets
Service account
<myid>-compute@developer.gserviceaccount.com
Source filters
IP ranges
<my_office_ip>
Service account
<myid>-compute@developer.gserviceaccount.com
Protocols and ports
tcp:22

The error I get when trying to ssh my VM: Connection Failed

We are unable to connect to the VM on port 22. Learn more about possible causes of this issue.
  • Note: as long as my IP ranges configured to 0.0.0.0/0 I CAN access the VM. Ideas anyone? :)
