# mapping a network location to local path [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:

I need to map a network location in Windows Server 2016 like

\\some.computer\path\to\folder

To be seen as a local resource like

C:\some\local\path

I've been searching Google, but all I found is net use command, which can only map a drive letter, not specific location.
Is there a way to do this on WS2k16?

• What do you want? Exploring C:\some\local\path to obtain \\some.computer\path\to\folder only, or using C:\some\local\path\somefile.ext pathname to use \\some.computer\path\to\folder\somefile.ext in real? – Akina Jun 13 at 7:41
