I installed Stretch a while ago, with 8 GB RAM and 8 GB swap, which ran without mayor issues. Now I'm trying to do a Buster fresh install, the PC now has 32 GB of RAM so I opted not to use swap. After each try the OS gets unbearably slow as soon as I open any application. The mouse pointer jerks around, and some keypresses randomly produce repeated characters (when trying to type debian.org in Firefox, I would get something like dddddddddddddddebiiiannnnnnnnnnn......org) Is this a known issue? Most web results for slow debian installs are years old. I haven't found any results for Buster issues like this, and I seriously doubt the lack of swap is the reason.
