I've recently done a new install of Linux Mint (19.2) running zsh 5.4.2 with oh-my-zsh running over the top.

Everything is working normally as usual with regards to tab completion. However I've noticed that there's not completion at all specifically on the "git add" command.

Running just git will tab complete the available sub commands however as soon as I select add I'd usually expect tab complete to bring up a list of files I can add to a commit and I can use normal zsh style completion to select one.

But what is happening is nothing at all it displays nothing on tab at all, not even a complete listing of the directory let alone the new/changed files available for adding. What I have to do is type the first letter of the file name and then I can get a completion of that single file.

Has anyone run into this?
