I find DJVU an amazing format to compress scanned documents. Even when I need a PDF I I create DJVU first and convert to PDF then and this results in better-than-original quality and makes the file many many times smaller. But the problem is I occasionally happen to need to preserve colors and all the instructions I could find are about makong grayscale DJVUs.

I believe I have seen color DJVU files (or these might be grayscale DJVU files with color cover pages, I' mot 100% sure now). How do I create one (from TIFF pictures)?

I am using both Linux and Windows (and also a Mac) so I'm interested in solutions for whatever an OS.
