So after updating the Synaptics touchpad driver for my HP Envy 13 I lost the Synaptics control panel. No idea why... The old driver isn't compatible with Windows build 1903, so downgrading isn't an option. The update also resets the settings to default, and the only setting I really want to change is two finger scrolling direction. Does anyone know how this can be done through the windows registry editor?

  • You could try to install the Synaptics app from the Microsoft store, if it works for your computer model. – harrymc Sep 30 '19 at 11:58
  • Thanks for the tip, but allready tried this. It errors when the download starts with the following code: 0x803FB005. After googling this code I only found that this is a generic failure code :( – Arjan Meijer Sep 30 '19 at 19:41
  • The Microsoft Store is corrupted. See this list for possible solutions. Do them one by one until fixed. If these don't solve the problem do Repair Install. – harrymc Oct 1 '19 at 7:10
