I was following the Apache Drill Documentation. I had java-8 already installed in my ubuntu machine. So as I start up Apache Drill as follows

root@ubuntu-s-2vcpu-4gb-nyc3-01:~/apache-drill-1.16.0# drill-embedded

Apache Drill is started up but after displaying the following error.

I can understand this is referring to an error in Java. But I have set JAVA_HOME correctly. But mind you, Apache Drill works fine even the webUI works.

  1. Can someone tell me what is wrong?
  2. How can I start up Apache Drill without this error message?
  3. Is it okay to continue with this error message?
