I did not join to the domain. But still anyone can access my c or d drive using my ip/d$.

Once when other user tried like (\192.168.xxx.xxx\d$) then it prompt for username and password. Then, once domain administrator username and password has given, it shows my complete D drive files.

Actually my pc not join to domain

  • If once domain administrator username and password has given, it shows my complete D drive files then this account exists on your workstation as local. How to prevent everyone to access MyDrive (\\192.168.0.xxx\d$) The simplest way is to untouch the sharing service from your network connection. No network access at all is the result. Or remove admin shares only - HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters, add AutoShareWks:DWORD=0 (for server OS AutoShareServer:DWORD=0). – Akina Oct 10 at 7:08
