I have a problem when launching Ipython notebook on my computer cluster. Whenever I start a new Ipython notebook session and open a notebook, I can see that Ipython immediately spawns 9 threads of python3.6, and two additional threads of Ipython. All but one python3.6 threads are idle, even when the notebook is running some computation, when plotting several plots with Matplotlib etc.

The cluster kills all my processes since I am overloading the login node with all those threads...

Is there a way to stop Ipython notebook from generating all those threads?
