I saw older threads but would like to see any updates for 2019? I have 2 laptops 1 PC and one monitor. I want to use one keyboard/mouse, use monitor for all free systems and possibly share files. I would love to use free programs. 1 laptop has dual boot linux and windows so multi OS system would be perfect but I could use Windows( Windows 7 and 10) only setup too.

  • And what did the older threads say? Why would they not be relevant today? – Keltari Dec 3 at 1:47
  • For your keyboard and mouse, use this software>>>>>microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35460 – Moab Dec 3 at 3:23
  • Synergy is also a good choice, but it would be more like a cross OS (Mac/windows/Linux) multi monitor setup. Doesn't share files between them, but does share a clipboard. – Tim_Stewart Dec 3 at 3:45
  • I was thinking just to buy Multicity software because it would do KVM and data – Denver Mountains Dec 4 at 10:42
