The setting shown below does not work as described.

At least newly SCANNED (Alt+F,R,S) documents default to "Single page" (Tick in the red box in th eimage above), which I find annoyingly "jumpy"...
i.e. I scroll down to read text at the end of the page, but I get herded (pushed) to the following page instead. I consider this to be a major annoyance.

Is there possibly something one can do about it?
(i.e. retain "Singe page, Continuous" [Green box in image] no matter what).

Hacky things?

Page Display preferences
Default Layout And Zoom

Page Layout: Sets the page layout used for scrolling when you first open a
document. The default setting is Automatic. The Page Layout setting in File > Properties > Initial View overrides this value.

Zoom: Sets the magnification level for PDF documents when they are first opened. The default setting is Automatic. The Magnification setting in File > Properties > Initial View overrides this value.
