I have a working nginx RTMP server (works 100% perfectly on LAN), but I can't connect to it via WAN. I opened a port over TCP/UDP and it works (used https://www.portchecktool.com/ for this), but I can't get my streaming service to send to the RTMP server over WAN. This might be because we didn't fill the 'Service' field in the router's settings; it has a lot of options, but none says RTMP. Which of the following services should I pick to forward my RTMP stream to my server?

  • FTP, FTP-DATA or TFTP
  • SSH
  • Telnet
  • DNS
  • NTP or NNTP
  • HTTP or HTTPS
  • POP3 or POP3S
  • IMAP or IMAPS
  • ICMP
  • SNMP-TCP or SNMP-UDP
  • SYSLOG

Thanks in advance~
