There are many descriptions on how to install the R kernel in JupyterLab available such as this. However, all these descriptions use the same environment for Python and R. That can lead to many version conflicts. Therefore, I would prefer to install R in a clean environment without many Python packages. With ipython kernel install --user --name="R" only the currently activated Python kernel gets installed. Is there a way to do that with R as well?
