I have 2 laptops and I'd like to use them together. Is there any way to achieve this task?

Is there a name for creating such a network of computers?

Question is already closed, so this is a comment rather than an answer, but if you want to combine 2 hardware to perform one task, you will not be able to succeed. You can use 2 hardware and divide the same load over the two hardware (clustering) but then that only means that once a task is executed, it first goes to device one, and when it is executed a second time, it is then executed by device 2. – LPChip Jun 30 at 9:43
  • In addition to previous, in some cases, you can create a farm where a load is spread across multiple devices, but this is mostly depends on what you want to do. The software itself must support a farm, such as crypto mining, multi-pc-computing and rendering 3D graphics. – LPChip Jun 30 at 9:45
  • This is exactly the same as having multiple cores in a single processor. Unless the task is written to use the extra cores they are effectively useless to it. Programs do not just "fill up" all the resources available. – Mokubai Jun 30 at 11:06
