I am using the technique described here where you can animate text so one paragraph/bullet point appears at a time (e.g. on click). However, once I run out of room for all the bullets, I'd like to delete the ones already there and start adding new ones using the same technique mentioned above. I cannot figure out a built-in way to do that. The best I can come up with is having multiple text areas overlapping and using an animation to remove the first one after all the bullets have been displayed and making the second one appear at that point; another option is to just copy the whole slide with the additional bullets only on the second slide. This is clunky, but it has the advantage of being able to see all the text rather than having it overlapping and obscured.
