I am trying to deploy a certificate. I need to create a PKCS#12 file with smime encryption using openssl. I have deployed the CA certificate to Thunderbird already. Leaves two files left: www.macdougall.ninja.cert.pem www.macdougall.ninja.key.pem
closest I got was:
openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout $jesse@macdougall.ninja.key -out $jesse@macdougall.ninja.req -subj "$Subject"
That file loaded but when I went to send an email I got error:
Then I have The Rabbit Hole Notes
openssl pkcs12 -export -out server.p12 -in _.domain.com.crt
with notes I saved that states.... "used this to convert from crt with both public and private keys to a .p12 format to import into IIS". You are using it for email so it may be different I'm not sure and can't test at the moment either. – Drink Some Pimp Juice IT Sep 8 '20 at 15:03
