I just got an E14 with a i3-10110U processor, 4GB DDR4 2666Mhz SoDIMM Memory, 500GB-- 7200RPM Serial ATA 2.5" Hard Drive. It was a cheaper laptop and I wasn't expecting anything blazing fast by any stretch. However, the thing crawls. It routinely freezes up just doing simple things like switching between tabs in Chrome. It even lags when I enter my pin at the login screen. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions if you have any. Thank you!

  • Get more memory. 4GB is no longer enough. Chuck out the HDD and get an SSD.

  • What OS are you using, sounds like it's doing a lookup when you login. I would switch it to Linux. Feb 4 at 7:32
  • Thanks for the replies. I'm using Windows 10. I was assuming memory and an SSD were the most logical upgrades. Like I said, I'm just surprised how slow this thing is. I bought it for browsing the internet and watching Netflix but it can hardly handle those things. I don't keep more than a couple tabs open either. Feb 4 at 13:34
