I'm trying to install the pip for python 2.7.2 on my Win 10 system. When i type the following command in the console (runed as Admin):

python get-pip.py

i get:

WARNING: Retrying (Retry(total=4, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'ReadTimeoutError("HTTPSConnectionPool(host='pypi.org', port=443): Read timed out. (read timeout=15)",)': /simple/pip/
...
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pip<21.0 (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for pip<21.0

I don't want to upgrade the python . I'd like to stay with 2.7.2. How can i install the pip?

  • Note: pip 21.0, in January 2021, will remove Python 2 support, per pip’s Python 2 support policy. (pypi.org/project/pip)
