I was using Fiber connection to my Fiber ONT Modem Router and then was using Wi-Fi through my router, I recently shifted and in my new place there are ethernet port in the walls for internet, I want to connect my router to these port and then use Wi-Fi from the router, but I couldn't find appropriate port to give connection to it, there is only 1GE port, 1FE port, 1 POT port ,one where fiber optic plug was inserted(PON port) and power port.

I didn't remember properly but at time when I bought this router, seller told I need some extra plug device for this purpose (currently I do not have any contact with that person).

Can someone please help me, is it even possible to do so in my this router and how to do.

Thanks!

Edit:

my router is SHARP VISION AS 341 WT XPON ONT

  • I'm having trouble finding the technical details of this router/modem. It looks like it has a "sfp slot", you may be able to get an gig-Ethernet sfp to try in the slot. Not all sfps work together between manufactures. It's worth a shot, you can pick them up on eBay for $10 or so. Just make sure it's a seller that accepts returns incase it isn't compatible.
