  • Try this Ctrl+Alt+F1 (F1 -F6) for tty full-screen terminal and Alt+F7 to exit it. – atenz Jul 3 '12 at 18:25
  • Or try the server OS? pretty sure there's no GUI included by default. – JoshP Jul 3 '12 at 18:55
  • are you looking to just boot into CLI or actually not want the GUI installed on the machine? – Cameron Aziz Jul 4 '12 at 0:20
  • @CameronAziz I just want to boot into CLI. I would not mind GUI installed or not. – Priyadarshi Kunal Jul 5 '12 at 4:33
  • @Josh I tried Server OS. But it did not let me get full screen in VBox. Have you had any success with that. Let me know. – Priyadarshi Kunal Jul 5 '12 at 4:33

  • Does not make it full screen for me :( – Priyadarshi Kunal Jul 7 '12 at 17:04
  • Try using the other Ctrl key on your keyboard. Virtualbox likes to use the right Ctrl key as a special key. – Sepero Jul 8 '12 at 10:24
  • The virtual box becomes full screen obviously but not the CLI content. As it is the case with GUI – Priyadarshi Kunal Jul 9 '12 at 10:35

If you want your guest OS to be full screen in your host OS, then you can do that by pressing Ctrl+f. Use the right Ctrl key.
