I am getting this error

ImportError: no module named request

To fix this:

sudo apt-get install request

works in Ubuntu. How do I fix this error in CentOS?

  • Just what request are you installing through apt-get? And what does works mean in this case? – George Stocker Mar 19 '13 at 12:29

Install pip from source. Then try

pip install django-request

  • Yes it is perfect for ubuntu, but not for centos – Mathi Mar 19 '13 at 12:06
  • Why not? Any problems? – Matthias Mar 19 '13 at 12:41
  • when i am trying to install the package request in cent os, 'yum install request' is not installing the package. "Deprecation Error" occurs – Mathi Mar 20 '13 at 4:25
  • You need to install pip first and then install django-request using pip. – arulmr Mar 20 '13 at 4:34
