This is my first post on here. I'm having an issue with a Dell OptiPlex 790 running windows 7 32-bit, we have many of these computers on our domain without any issues, just this one.

The computer will randomly lockup and then stop displaying video and wont respond. I have tried a few things already like checking the event logs, updating video and chipset drivers, running chkdsk and a few other things without any luck. Finally yesterday the issue created a minidump, please see below

  • What drivers were loaded when this BSOD happened? Have you verified that there are no memory problems? – Ramhound Nov 7 '13 at 13:44
  • If it's just one of many similar, and they were loaded the same (i.e. cloned or otherwise deployed) and the symptoms are as you describe, then the usual suspects should come first: check temps, check fans (esp. if the video card has a fan), check power supply, run MEMTEST. – Debra Nov 7 '13 at 14:11
  • Thanks for the replies, this computer is in use 24/7 so I haven't been able to run a memtest yet, my current plan is to take the HD out of this computer and put it into a new working computer that is the same model and configuration and see if its a hardware issue or software. Then Ill get to focus on hardware or software. Ill post a comment when I get some results – user270226 Nov 7 '13 at 14:29
