I recently bought a Sandstrøm 720P HD webcam (S1337CAM)(Plug & Play), which worked just fine the first couple of days of usage. But today when I was going to talk on Skype I was told that I could be heard, but not seen. When I checked the device manager I could see that it was not working as it should.

I tried to troubleshoot it, and Windows wanted to install drivers for it but failed to do so.It just said "USB Camera is having problems with a driver". I have tried the webcam on all my PC's, which means I tried it on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 & 8.1, and all of them give me the same thing. When I press detailed information after the troubleshooting, it says "Problem with PnP devices, drivers need to be re-installed" which I have done alot of times now..

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

If multiple computers present the problem this indicates the camera itself has suffered a hardware failure. – Ramhound Feb 7 '14 at 12:42
  • So the best thing to do would be to actually return it? – user3042022 Feb 7 '14 at 12:48
