My problem:

I bought a brand new Lenovo desktop, comes with 1x4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600mhz 1,5v. Since i`ve installed a CORSAIR VALUE SELECT DDR3 1x4GB PC3-12800 1600mhz 1,5v the computer, random (after hours) collapse in a bsod. Memory test is ok. HWInfo (on win 7 64bit) does not show anything else. What can i do? I can give you all the info you want.

  • 1) What manufacturer is the installed RAM from? Corsair too? Maybe this could be a problem. You should use similar RAM modules: same model, same manufacturer. 2) What error code does shows up on the bsod? Maybe it is not directly RAM related. – Kovah Feb 17 '14 at 21:55
  • This answer contains a link where you can upload the dump file which is created under C:\Windows\Minidump when a BSOD occurs and make an analysis of the crash report, which in turn may help you (and us) identify the problematic hardware and the root of the cause. Oh, remember to copy the dmp file from Minidump to somewhere else such as desktop because you will need administrator rights to upload, so copy it to desktop and upload the file from there. – Varaquilex Feb 17 '14 at 22:02
